For many people, buying new jeans is as fun as a trip to the dentist. Maybe it's been awhile since you updated your denim wardrobe. Maybe you're not feeling super confident. Maybe you have no idea what kind of jeans you "should" be wearing, based on social media conversations. Maybe you're overwhelmed by all the different silhouettes, brands, and washes. Totally understandable—figuring out how to find the perfect jeans isn't easy. But that's where we come in!

Just like our sister brand Evereve, Trendsend stylists are top-tier denim experts. Evereve was built on denim expertise, and that knowledge (and, admittedly, obsession) is also a huge part of Trendsend. Instead of trying on multiple pairs in a dressing room, however, you get to do it at your own pace in your bedroom or living room.

Denim training 101

Extensive denim training is the first step for Trendsend and Evereve stylists alike, and they learn exactly how to find the perfect jeans. Stylists try on every single brand and pair to learn the ins and outs of fit, stretch, fabric content, inseam length, and rise. Because these things differ from brand to brand, it's important to spend some time actually feeling and wearing the jeans to understand how they'll fit and wear throughout the day. (No one likes that saggy butt look!) Fit is paramount for us; stylists are constantly discussing fit and feel, and every single pair of jeans is tested on every single body type. What we take into consideration:

When curating your denim selections, your Trendsend stylist draws on their knowledge of you as a person, not a number. These are the essential factors to nailing your next great pair of jeans.

Body type

Are you tall? Petite? Curvy? Do you prefer a looser fit around the thigh, or a high rise that holds you in? These are all important to note, as they'll help us determine which denim styles will fit you best—and make you feel your best.

Fit

Surprise surprise! How your jeans fit and feel determines how often you'll want to wear them. We've all been there—buying a pair of jeans that don't quite fit right thinking we'll make them work, then stashing them in the closet and never thinking about them again. Because our stylists are so obsessed with fit, they want to know all of your thoughts when your jeans arrive. How does the fabric feel? Is there enough stretch or too much stretch? Is the rise high enough or low enough?

Silhouette

Some people are devoted to a certain silhouette, like a comfy, casual boyfriend jean, while others like to experiment with trendier styles. It's OK if barrel jeans aren't for you, or if you can't wait to try them! Your Trendsend stylist will get a feel for your comfort levels and preferred silhouettes before sending you something new.

Lifestyle

Where are you wearing your jeans? This is just as important as what kind of jeans you want. Do you need a dressier pair for the office? A relaxed, lived-in pair for weekends? Are you running around with your kids? These are the things your stylist wants (and needs!) to know!
